The AeP team hosted the Australian ePortfolio Symposium at QUT, Kelvin Grove Campus in Brisbane, on 7 - 8 February 2008. In addition QUT presented as pre-Symposium event the Australian ePortfolio Showcase at the Gardens Point Campus in Brisbane, on Wednesday, February 6, 2008.
International guest speakers included:
- Rob Ward, Director of the Centre for Recording Achievement (UK) and member of the Inter/National Coalition for Electronic Portfolio Research (USA, UK and Europe)
- Dr Angela Smallwood, Director of the Centre for International ePortfolio Development (UK)
- Ass. Professor Darren Cambridge, Associate Director, Inter/National Coalition for Electronic Portfolio Research (USA)
- Marij Veugelers, Community Manager, SURF NL Portfolio (NL)
- Wijnand Aalderink, NL Portfolio Steering Committee, SURF NL (NL)
The symposium:
- Discussed the preliminary findings from the project’s research activities
- Introduced potential frameworks for measuring the level of maturity in ePortfolio practice
- Explored case studies that provide examples of best practice.
